Ilana Hernandez holds a Master of Information from the University of Toronto's iSchool, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies and ethnomusicology, also from the University of Toronto. She has worked as a research/reference librarian and library technician in universities, law firms, and government. Her personal research interests include choral polyphony (Balkan, Corsican, and Georgian), metadata and controlled vocabularies, and the anthropology of food.
