Bio/Description
Josh ('19) developed an appreciation for Geniza studies while in Israel on a gap year when he studied the philosophical, religious, and legal works of medieval Jewish scholars. During Professor Rustow's undergraduate course, Josh researched the limitations placed on Rabbinic authority in the Cairo Geniza period by institutions and petition processes. He continues to study Jewish history in his spare time and appreciates areas of overlap between computer science and Geninza studies.
