Owen Duffy-Massey is interested in historical governance, legal systems, and the humanities, with a focus on the administrative and legal texts of the Cairo Geniza. At the Princeton Geniza Lab, he hopes to improve translation techniques for multilingual texts. He is also learning Arabic to better understand the Geniza.

Previously, he contributed to the RECAP project, which expands public access to U.S. federal court documents.
